Why do guys on dating apps often just first message "hey" or "hey how are you" instead of being more creative and unique? How do they think being a copycat will stand out?

That's not an interview for a stand-up artist.

If a hot girl pays attention to me it doesn't really matter what she says. Her attention is enough.

Of course, farther on when you start chatting moreover dating being smart and creative will really impress, but only as a SUPPLEMENT to attractive look.

Is it possible for people who claim to be genuine and honest to actually not be? If so, why do they behave this way?

People choose a partner by sexual attractiveness in the first place.
